Run a 5 k.  I can’t believe I’m even saying that out loud.  If I commit to going to the gym and working hard, I can do anything. For me, this is a true test to overcome by self-imposed limits and I feel that completing a 5 k will be such a personal accomplishment.

Meal prep will be crucial for me to lose weight. I will be bring my lunch and snacks to work every day so I can portion out my meals and have enough healthy snacks to keep me full during the day.

Learn Conversational Portuguese

Brazilian FlagMy husband is Brazilian as well as all of his friends.  I am often left out of the conversation, especially with the women, because they don’t know english.

I have found a tutor from Brazil who lives near me and is going to meet with me weekly at my house.  It can’t be more convenient than that.  I want to be able to reinforce what my husband teaches my son as well as communicate with my husband and his friends.  We plan to travel to Brazil this year and it would be amazing to be able to communicate with his family.

Family Time

Disconnect with technology to spend quality time with my son.

He has picked up terrible habits and is glued to the TV, Ipad, or my phone- most waking minutes other than school.   I will designate 10-15 minutes with him each day whether it is coloring, reading, singing or dancing —I will let him choose.
