My very picky toddler needs many options for his snacks and his lunch. I used to put his food into Rubbermaid Storage Sets. Rookie mom mistake. They were perfect for leftovers but too bulky for my son’s backpack. They also took up a lot of room in my dishwasher so I did a little research and discovered a Lunch Box – with 5 Blue Containers also known as “Bento Boxes” or “meal served in a box” originating from Japan. They offer plenty of room for a variety of snacks. My son can eat directly from the box or take out each container as he eats them. It’s also easy for his preschool teacher to take out a container to heat up his food, as necessary. I truly love these boxes so much that I bought 5 of them to rotate through the days . They make lunch preparation a breeze and the portions are perfect. I also use them for myself when I pack snacks for longer days or especially when I travel for work on a plane. Airport food can be extremely expensive and by using my Bento Box I can choose cheaper, healthier snacks to eat throughout the day.
